| Before Training |
Manoj Oraon's parents passed away while he was in the high school and was forced to help his brother in farming. Also, he had to work as contractual labour. His income was unstable and insufficient. Hailing from Chetar village, Gumla, Jharkhand, he was in the 1st batch of trainees at Gumla. He was placed as a Bar Bender at Shapoorji's TCS Bhubaneswar site.
| After Training |
Within a few months into his job, he was promoted as leader of his Bar Bender group. He continued working with sincerity and after 3 years was again promoted to the role of Supervisor where he handled 40 Bar Benders. His salary too more than doubled from Rs. 7,000 per month to Rs. 14,000 per month.
Now Manoj is married and encouraged his wife to study further, who is now pursuing her graduation.
